The implementation of the ban on plastics has accelerated the promotion of plastic-free coating. So what is the performance of plastic-free coating cups? Can it completely replace PE coating cups?

After experimental tests and comparisons, when the temperature of the non-plastic coating rises to about 60 degrees Celsius, the coating surface becomes more sticky, and the larger the coating amount, the higher the temperature, the greater the moisture, and the more obvious the sticky situation. Some non-plastic coatings have relatively poor heat-sealing properties, continuing to increase the heat-sealing temperature and prolong the heat-sealing time will have a certain effect on the sealing, but the paper will become yellow and brittle when heated, which is not suitable.

At present, the biggest problem faced by plastic-free coatings of cupstock is the problem of stickiness when heated. The essence of stickiness should be that the coating is softened by heat. Then, pour boiling water into a paper cup, and the water temperature will also soften the coating and make it sticky, which will make the user feel discomfort, and even question the safety of paper cups. However, increasing the softening temperature of the coating will inevitably affect its degradation function, which is the original intention of the implementation of the prohibition on plastics.
